If you stub your toe in the morning, how do you react (after of course crying out, screaming and possibly more)? Do you feel that this is what your day is going to be like, or do you hold your toe, jump around and afterwards realize you have created a new dance move?
Regina and I discuss how people are the product of what “they” create in life. It is not always apparent why we may be afraid of something or a situation. There may have been a trauma that occurred before the age of remembering. However, it is our choice whether to face the fear and create new memories.
It does not serve any value to blame others or ourselves. It is important to own our mistakes, our fears, emotions or thoughts, to be aware of them, and from that point forth take responsibility for the direction we take once we have.
There are only two fears we are born with, Regina explains. Loud noises and falling. Anything else we learn, and because we learn them we can also unlearn them. We create the responses, therefore we can uncreate the responses. It is a matter of finding the why, and then the how. Regina, in her program Finding Me, provides tools for people to deal with breaking bad habits. She states everyone is different, however there are methods that are fairly universal, such as replacing a bad habit with a good one.
