About

I do hope I don’t offend, but truth is, I may not say it, but I can sign it. 🙂

Introduce myself, they say – who am I, what do I do, and where am I.

I am LaurieAnn – I am That Gal.

I am perhaps the only person who is a Bulimia Recovery Coach using Grapho Therapy (I have a Masters Certification in Handwriting Analysis) and a 24/7 contact policy.

I was born in Montreal, Quebec, and have travelled and lived in many places. My family lived in Istanbul, Turkey when I was a child and we were the first Civilian Family to “walk” from Asia to Europe on the first Bosphorus Bridge.

I always wanted to have my own business, from the age of 7. I transitioned from Marketing/Branding/Finance to the automotive industry. I owned my own auto repair/used car sales/towing company in a small town for 3 years. I lost everything, lived in a barn for 3 years with no running water. It was refreshing and very much a time of self-reflection.

Prior to living in the barn, I struggled for 30 years with bulimia. I promised myself when I recovered that I would pay my knowledge forward to help others. This is what I am doing now. In the interim, I also followed my other passion of handwriting analysis and am the first Canadian and fourth in North America to become a Masters Certified Handwriting Analyst.

I have authored three books, contributed to a #1 Best Seller, and received the publishers award for Make Up Not Required – How to Brand The True You. My latest book is How To Have Your Cake & Not Eat It All Too – A Guide To Adult Bulimia Recovery. I am also the host of the Bleep Bulimia Podcast targeting women in midlife still struggling. I am happily divorce and single with three children, two dogs, three cats and a fish.

I now life in Milton, Ontario, Canada.

Truth is, if I wrote everything I have done on here it would be way too long and although definitely not boring, it would just be way too long. 🙂

As you can tell, I also like colours. Also therapeutic. Always be colourful!
